This year for the first time we have invited Ambassadors to represent us in the running community. These Ambassadors are long time running enthusiasts who have supported and participated in the Dallas Loop-the-Lake Run celebrations for many years. We encourage you to learn more about these great Dallas runners and follow their running journeys.

Kelli Foster
Kelli Foster began her running career in 2016 when her friends joined a local run club. Kelli quickly went from beginner runner to run leader and says she is “addicted to running, to the running community, [and] to the networking and the connections that running has created.” Kelli loves to race because every time she crosses a finish line she feels successful. She is your go to for an excited, encouraging, and motivated running buddy! She loves the training process because she gets to see herself (and her fellow runners) grow in their running journeys, progress throughout their training, and then see it come to fruition during the race. Kelli has some big goals for 2022 (FOUR marathons to be exact!) and she is super excited to welcome in the New Year with a 10 mile run around White Rock Lake! Kelli has run four Loop-the-Lake runs. @runwithkelz

Alfonzo Gonzalez
Alfonzo Gonzalez, like many runners, had a friend convince him to run his first marathon in 2009. He eventually joined the Luke’s Locker running program and has since completed over 100+ races while accomplishing his running goals. He completed his 6th Boston marathon on October 11, 2021. For the past five years, he has been a coach to many runners and helped them achieve their race goals. Most of his runners refer to him as “Fonz.” To Fonz, running is more than a sport. He enjoys running because it’s a great form of exercise and keeps him mentally focused on his daily activities. Fonz is pumped to run with everyone for the Loop-the-Lake Run! Fonz has run 6 Loop-the-Lake runs. @ifonzz

Bree Redwine
Bree Redwine started running in middle school and never looked back. She runs because it brings freedom to her that nothing else does. When she’s on a run, Bree feels like she can solve anything! Her creative juices really get flowing and she’s able to work through ideas and make things real. Bree loves her running community–especially the Pint Striders. Bree can’t wait to join the Dallas running community to commemorate 2021 and welcome 2022! Bree has run 5 Loop-the-Lake runs. @Bree.Redwine

Maggie Riba
Maggie Riba started running in elementary school and the only time she’s ever stopped was for a brief time in college. Running marathons was the last thing that Maggie thought she would ever do, but look at her now with 30 marathons under her belt! Maggie is so dedicated to the sport that she even ran a race on her wedding day. Maggie has been a coach for 23 years and she loves to see her athletes accomplish their goals. For Maggie, running keeps her happy, sane, and in shape. She’s ready to bring some more dedication by running the Loop-the-Lake Run on December 31st! Maggie has run every Loop-the-Lake event since its start in 2004. @maggieriba
