What started as a small group of us running around the lake turned into something so much bigger. Because of this community, Loop-the-Lake New Year’s Eve Celebration raised nearly $24,000 for kids in Dallas to start 2026 strong.

Awesome Marathon Kids team member, Jasmine Adgerso

Awesome Marathon Kids team member, Jasmine Adgerson, owned the roads at this year’s Marine Corps Marathon. She was so speedy, after missing her two other times on the course, we were finally able to get these pics somewhere past 18 miles.

In addition to her usual duties, she knocks down marathons on the weekend and cheers on the kids at MK kick-offs like the one here in Dallas at Gill Elementary School.

This years it was the 4th-6th graders at Charles A. Gill Elementary School were getting in on the fun! They had an awesome time at the Marathon Kids kickoff — it’s always inspiring to see firsthand what our Dallas Loop-the-Lake event supports every year.

These students love the Marathon Kids program, and the teachers couldn’t be happier to give them something active and joyful to rally around.

🇺🇸 Nationally, Marathon Kids inspired 431,000 participants to complete more than 6.7 million miles, a true movement of kids proving the power of setting goals, moving together, and celebrating every stride.

For over two decades Dallas Loop-the-Lake Foundation has donated more than $220,000 for kids to participate in this amazing program. And we’re already gearing up for our 22nd annual Loop-the-Lake Run — early sign-up is open now (link in bio)! Sign up before November 1st and get $15 off.
